Ontario Government Decision Provides Greater Certainty for
Green Energy Projects
The Ontario government's decision to eliminate the OPA's right to terminate FIT contracts will provide greater certainty for green energy projects.
With the announcement, 1800 FIT projects receive a guarantee that they will proceed.
“These changes will give companies who have invested in this province more stability in planning and dealing with manufacturers, ensuring we remain competitive in North America’s emerging clean energy economy," said Brad Duguid, Minister of Energy. "It will also help protect good jobs for Ontario families as we build a cleaner electricity system.”
