Government of Ontario Releases Electricity Section of 2011
Progress Report


Following the release of updates on Education and Economy & Families, the Government of Ontario has released the Electricity section of its 2011 Progress Report.

Progress 2011

Notable points of the Electricity report include:

  • 900+ wind turbines up from 10 in 2003
  • Coal use dropped by 90% with goal of elimination by 2014
  • Expected creation of 50,000 clean energy jobs by the end of 2012
